Takeaways
Our seminars are organized around a general health topic, but they are not lectures.

Our volunteers strive to facilitate an open discussion and encourage our discussion leaders to follow their curiosity.
This often leads the seminar discussion to places the volunteers don't expect, and that is totally okay. Wherever the discussion goes, the volunteers make sure that a few key points or facts about the health topic are conveyed as the seminar progresses.

We call these key points “takeaways.”

Some examples of takeaways from our seminars:
"Addiction means you physically need that thing that you like. If you don’t have it, you will get sick.”
--from Tobacco and Drug Use seminars

“Using a condom every time you have sex is important. Condoms not only prevent pregnancy, but they keep you safe from sexually transmitted diseases as well.”
--from Safe Sex seminar

“If you’re feeling so sad or hopeless that you are thinking about hurting yourself or other people, you need to talk to an adult you trust ASAP and get help.”
--from Mental Health seminar
